I have a feeling this error is made from a sheet. Here's a link to it (Swedish auction): http://www.tradera.com/USA-1-dollar-serie-1995-Felskuren-auktion_220310_125681886 I hope some of you experts can help me? I mostly collect Norwegian paper money (I'm from Norway), but I really like US currency and I'm building a collection (both large size and small).
The odds of that coming from the BEP is pretty rare. Generally when an error such as this comes out, it is from someone buying an uncut sheet and cutting them themselves. I always am VERY cautious of notes such as these that are not already graded.
I also have a feeling this was made from an uncut sheet. The serial number is high and those high numbers come from uncut sheets, right?
The serial number from the note posted is from a uncut sheet. Uncut sheets for 1995 FERN notes for the C district are from C 99200001 A to C 99999999 A. A member here at CT (NUMBERS) has a web site with that type of info and much more. Check the web site at: http://www.uspapermoney.info/general/uncut.html Luis
Wow. I didn't realize that a database of uncut sheet numbers was available. I'm betting that whoever cut it didn't realize that either!
