Count me in for 2; one a gift for a recently born baby, and one to keep:) I don't know about 'errors', but I do know these 2 are simply perfect to me! Everything that looks like it should be shiny is shiny! No marks, scratches, or spots. Received them about a week or 10 days ago, far ahead of when they said they would ship; I wasn't expecting them until this week, alas, they showed up early!!! I hope the folks with the new baby will throw it in a drawer and give it to him when he gets married or something. Merry Christmas. Lucy

Got mine day before yesterday. I was very anxious given all the concerns about getting the one's that had been returned from earlier ships. I have to say I can't see any flaw in mine. The fields are clean, no scratches, marks, spots....nothing. Sure took a while to get here but it made it in time for Christmas!!

A question: Does the 2010 ASE have the first use of that laser cameo etching, or has it been used previously. Also, are there to be the old style engraving cameos as well, to make two different proofs? My 2010 are spectacular, worth every cent.

I have to say, that I talked to an NGC rep today and she wouldn't tell me the grades I got on my coins. She said to call her tomorrow and she would tell me. She insinuated that they graded at PF70. aaarrrggghhh!!!

    That's no low mintage....

  12. Agreed. I would have loved if they had used half that allocation for 2009. :D However, I am still happy they started making them again. :) TC

It is interesting to see the prices of the 2010 silver proof eagles after the sell out at 834,879. They have increased to $52 each on ebay or over a 10% increase in a little over a month.

Exactly why I don't buy off AMPEX.

Well this was after the mint sold out , so that's par for the course .

  19. HCC has them for $59.95. $89.00 is out of line. I just looked and APMEX has them at $69.00.

    Supply exceeds demand...
I believe that @ $52 those 2010 proof ASE are being sold at a LOSS!!!

US Mint price $45.95 +$4.95 S&H =$50.90 Plus Selling fees (eBay 9%) $4.68 + (PayPal 2.7%) $1.40 = $56.98 (cost) less selling price - $52 = LOSS of -4.98 (-8.7%) and many eBay auctions include shipping which is below actual cost.
