I have decided to go ahead and seek advice about how to identify a 'set' that I have. I am not asking anyone to do the work, just please, some direction?
I have Googled until I am out of wording ideas (tried lots of obscure suggestions..), I have tried a few phone calls (as yet not actually gotten to anyone.)

I am open to direction/suggestions, and am not in a mad dash over it, instead putting it away when I hit the brick wall until I feel like trying again.

Here is what I have (may well be NOTHING at all..)

Small blue presentation box with 12 "medallions" (I guess)(no denominations) inside. Each about the size of a 50 cent piece. Each depicting a different scene. Words on back of all 12 are the same. Each in it's own small presentation box. A series of Pilgrim's journey..

    The Pilgrim Heritage
    Official Hallmarked Limited Edition
    The International Mint
    Solid Fine Silver
    Proof Condition

Booklet inside the box: The Pilgrim Heritage by L. D. Geller Charter Subscriber
Series Number 198 Limited Edition Certification ...

Inside cover page The Pilgrim Hall Library and Museum The Pilgrim Society
    Listing L. D. Geller, M.A. Director

Box and booklet LOOK like blue leather or facsimile of..

Only date I can find in on the very back page, "....Plymouth, Massachusetts May 22, 1970

Anyone have any less than obvious ideas about how I can track this? (I have been working on this for a while now..stalled once again..)

Thank you for at least taking the time to read this.

Lucy what you have is a set issued by a private mint called The International Mint
. They are not coins. They may be medals or silver rounds, but not coins. Aside from what you already know (the info you already posted), there really isn't much more to know.

Value would likely be whatever the silver content is. There are some folks who collect these things, but not many really. So they really don't have any collector value to speak of.

Lucy, 1970 Silver Art may be able to assist you with reference material and/or the current market value.

Pilgrim Society and Pilgrims Society..Gellers name comes up either way I look for this..one seems shady, and one not so. No thought about pursuit, anyone? I just CAN'T imagine Dave purchasing this set without a reason, was not his style..EVERYTHING had a reason. Just can't imagine..
Thanks all for your suggestions. I will see if Silver Art has a thought. Otherwise, into the "junk" stack :)

I think I can donate (give) these to the Pilgrim Museum, probably. Worth more probably to them, rather than melted down. They might like them.
    Thanks again,
    Lucy
