penny picking help

    i have a kitty litter container full of pennies, just wondering if any years / mints are worth more than others? thanks

    Ummm...for Wheaties yes...common Memorials spend them unless you wanna save pre-82 coppers.

    Kitty litter and coins should never go together...

    Kitty litter is full of chemicals, that even if you feel you washed it all out (assuming the plastic tub type), may still be present. If the card board box type, never store coins in such acidic paper board containers.

    I understand these are already circulated cents but just wanted to offer these words of advice to avoid storing coins in reused containers, especially ones that may have had such contents previously.

    Besides, you cat may come and claim them if the container is in any way attractive to your feline companion. :eek:

    lol well my dad has been keeping pennies in there for at least 20 years, b/c the coin counting machines were so slow that he didnt want to wait and just kept the pennies, but thank you krispy, i am gonna go through them all and then ask if i can trade them in haha
