Hello all, I've been absent from CoinTalk for a while until just recently. It's great to be back reading all of the cool threads and learning a lot. So, with that said I hope to learn more. I was on Teletrade looking at Franklin halves. I came across one with a designation I have never before seen. PR66 FS-803. What is FS-803? Thanks!
It stands for Fivaz-Stanton (FS), as a recognized variety/attribution. In this case, it is a DDR (Doubled Die Reverse). TC
1961 proof I presume? Doubling is very evident on E PLURIBUS UNUM and also bisable on the perimeter lettering and eagle. Complements of CPG 4th edition volume II
