I don't think the coin warrants an XF grade - there is just too much wear on the obverse. I would say VF30.

We all need to keep something in mind when it comes to the grading of coins - it doesn't matter what a grading company, any grading company, places on the slab. What matters is the grade of the coin. Just because PCGS, NGC, ANACS - any of them, say a coin is XF45 - that doesn't mean it is true. That's why when it comes to buying slabbed coins you will be told - buy the coin, not the slab !!

And that applies to ALL of the grading companies. All too often, we tend to forget that.

PCGS graded this one VF 30. I agree with the grade. It is a nice coin, that I could see in a 35 holder, but wear limits the grade to VF and not XF. Thanks for playing...Mike
