Please help me grade this 1945 Linc. 1c. This cent was given to me by a friend which has over 100 of them. Supposedly this came from a sealed roll he bought years ago. My friend states its a BU. I really don't know about the grade. The Rev is excellent, but the Obv seems to have some issues. My limited experience tells me it may grade at about 62 maybe 63 at the highest. If someone could let me know and explain the results, I would greatly appreciate that. Thanks.

    I see light wear. AU53-55.

Also, can't really tell how much luster is left on it.

Actually all the luster is still there. I am doing my best to learn how to use better lighting so my pictures can show luster. Still having trouble in that department.

Natural sunlight helps a lot, from what I've found.

Thanks Merc. I will certainly keep that in mind the next time I am taking pics. It has been a learning process, which until now, I can take descent pics. Now I need to work on the lighting situation.

To me, and using the photos as a guide, the coin's color does not appear natural.

That and high point wear (without any color change) lead me to state the above. Of course, I could be wrong....

Tell me, how is the color in-hand versus the photo? Is there any discoloration on the high points of the coin (for instance the ear, cheekbone, and jawbone)?

p.s. Also, if you can, try and take a photo with a pure white background, with the coin parallel to the camera (i.e. not tilted).
