Earlier this week I got my very first "2011" coins. :) The Royal Mint has already sent me next year's circulation coins, plus commems (1 x 50p, 2 x £1, 2 x £2, 1 x £5). Cannot complain about the cost either: Shipping was £2.95 (UK to DE), and I got a £3.50 discount. Maybe for orderling online, don't know ...

Which set did you guys order? I only ordered the standard proof set. I couldn't see any difference between it and the others, other than the case that is.

you are correct, all the coins are minted the same way but you have to pay a large premium for the packaging,

While reading the booklet that came with the 2011 Proof Set I recognised the name of the designer of the WWF 50p (Matthew Dent) but couldn't recall where from.
Today my brother and I were going through some of my coin sets and I picked up a 2008 Shield Collection folder and inside was a picture... of Matthew Dent.

As I said before the WWF 50 Pence I love, Matthew Dent hits another winner. I am looking forward to possibly seeing more coins from him in the future.
