Wife has 1964 P and D sets. The three silver coins in each set have rainbow toning on the reverse caused by the storage method from the 30+ years they were in their case. In today's market what kind of premium would these coins get?

In my opinion, virtually none. Only if the coins were slabbed and graded 66 or up would there be any premium for that toning. And then very little.

Really? In the world of ebay and the toning craze being what it is? No added premium?

there too low value of coins for the toning to cause any kind of premium, quite frankly to me all i see is 90% junk

You might find some bidders willing to bid them up Darryl but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Then again there's people buying obvious fakes for full retail and obvious AT for crazy money. Anything is possible on ebay.

But anybody that knows coins - not a chance.

In my opinion, Doug is 100% correct. The toning on these coins would drive little to no premium.

Despite my bad pictures the half toning actually looks nice IMO. The dime looks too funky. I wish I took better pictures of the half!

    Thanks for your feedback

:rollling: Amazing what people say about such nice coins. I would take them off your hands and I would get them certified (if they qualify that is).
