    A 1 kg silver coin? What is this - a "China The Beautiful Round"? ;)

    This medal was the first kilo Panda but since 1998 China has minted a kilo weight silver Panda every year.

    By the way, the ring of building designs on the obverse are all places in Munich, Germany. Only the Temple in the center is in China, so this is more of a tribute to the German Coin Expo hosts than an advertisement for China.
