Going to the Southern MN Annual Winter Show tomorrow in Rochester MN. Goal is to get some Morgan Dollars.
I just got home from my local coin show. Honestly it was a bit overwhelming with all the great spreads of coins of all types. Most were reasonable some a little over priced, and my mistake was thinking I might get something out of the 21 peace I was trying to sell and upgrade. The dealers would just lowball the heck out of me, perhaps my age. So, I just gave up on that, I only saw one in a superior grade but it had some scratches on the reverse so I veered away for a better one some day. But I wasn't going to leave my first show empty handed. One booth I saw had some older commems, and something caught my eye. Out of all of them I found one in my price range 100ish, so I happily bought my first 1935 S San Diego Half in MS condition for 110. I'll toss some pics up later. From now on I'll just attend shows, for numsimatic coins, local shops are only being used for bullion purposes for now on, unless I can cherrypick.
