ok seeing as this thread dissapeard i will post my idea again. lots of us have coins that dont fi in to our collections but we have them any way. my idea is that people could post wha they have and post what they are looking for and then a swap or trade could be arranged. for instance i collect early milled british coins but i have a lot of world coins and some american stuff that i would be willing to put up for trade. here are a couple of examples

I like the 1883 wheat ears. I have no Bristish coins that would interest you for a trade. Nice idea. Perhaps, you might consider it a form of diversification to hold on to all that nice copper - all of them.

Nice pics. I was fun looking.

This is a nice idea, maybe a Classifieds section can be added where people show what they offer and can submit a list of what they want.

Not sure how would this work for members who are outside US, shipping costs might become a difficulty during such exchanges.

the shipping cost isnt that high from uk to us surprisingly. obviously no one would do it with high value items and there is a lot of trust involved

There are collectors outside US and EU :)

The issue of trust is problematic, shipments must be sent Registered i guess, which makes the cost higher.

Yes, too bad. I have about 220 Roosevelt silver dimes I'd like to trade for some mercury dimes. All junk dime trade.
