i normally dont keep pennies but if something looks a little different ill keep them. one seems to be raised on the right side one seems to have the last date number more faint. another looks like the top letters are smudged. i dont collect them ,so i dont know if there just normal.may take 2 posts to put the pics up so have a look and thoughts please.
im not the expert and cant tell if there is anything good or not about these. however, if you take pics like this, noone may be interested. the pics themselves are pretty good, but the fact that you have the coin up against your fingers is a big no-no. you should always handle coins only by the edges and try not to touch the faces at all. the way you are holding them is leaving prints. even if you cant see them, the acid from your fingers is now on the coin, and the print will appear with time. i take my pics with the coin flat on a desk. since your fingers would have been moving with your heartbeat, i think you would be able to take awsome pics with the coin stationary.
i understand the new camera i have im not to used to. so in order for me to take a pic with out reflection i had to hold the coin that way.and more the camera and thec coin hand around to get a decent pic.another learning experience.thanks..
Whoa, alrighty... where to start? These coins are mostly AU with a few in lower conditions, handing them crudely may have some effect on the AU coins, but coins in lower conditions, and common-date wheats to boot? Screw it, you should see how I treat my common-date wheat cents. It's not gonna hurt them in any measurable way to handle them as the OP is doing. It is, however, a good general rule to handle a coin that may be valuable by the edges.
coins i understand. i ussually dont collect us coins but i keep a few if they may look abit different to me as for what i collect i put them in 2 by 2 coin folds
