My work is cleaning out a bunch of old stuff - slide projectors, slide carousels, old photography stuff. There are thousands of 20 pocket pages that hold slides that I can have if I want. Those that I have looked at are nice heavy plastic. Has anyone had any experience using these to hold 2x2's? Any thoughts?

They are exactly what I use for most of my circulated coins. You could probably sell them very profitably on EBay in packets of 20 or 25. Depending on the quantity you buy, they run anywhere from 25¢ to nearly a buck a page from the coin supply houses.:D

I'd be a bit wary of using them to store coins if they contained PVC though.

Is there anyway to know if they have PVC? Can PVC damage a coin if it is inside of a2x2?

Usually by smell. If it smells like a new shower curtain it has PVC, it it doesn't then it likely is PVC free.

Yes. The Acid can eat through the 2x2 eventually, but it can also seep through the staple holes to get to the coin more quickly.
