HELP!!! I have 2+ bags of old nickels dating from 1938-1965 and some random 70s. What should I do with them? I dont had time to research them all. Which ones are worth holding on to, and which ones are not?

Might as well keep them all, the melt value is more than 5 cents.

    Exactly!

OP: Do you have time to throw away a key date coin? an error? silver composition coins? Once you know what to look for and with a little focused organization, you could blow through a few thousand coins in a half to full days effort.

A couple of bags? How many coins is that? What kind of bags? Sandwich bags? Paper bags? bank bags? Mint sealed bags?

    don't forget the 1937D, and 1936D

I just looked over 28 rolls, looking for that darn three legged Buffalo. (no luck)

I understand how daunting this must seem, I'm in the same boat, but I am determined to learn as much as I can about what I have, and not let anything slip away.
I can find key dates, but errors? Hard to say what to look for.

    Hi Krispy-

    I've been consistently lurking.

Please check out my new thread: "Opinions, please..."

I'm going to the FUN show tomorrow, and trying to decide what to take with me! No one has responded....
