I need vocabulary

    What does proof mean? Can anybody maybe make a glossary thingy for noobs to refer to when they don't know what the word is because I search up the definition but I still do not get it.

    Proof is the way a coin is minted . These coins are not meant for circulation but for collectors . The planchets or the blanks the coins are made from are highly polished , as are the dies used for making the proof coins . They are pressed 2X at higher than normal pressure to bring up the whole design . If you look at a proof the fields or open areas of the coin will shine like a mirror .
