I have inherited 3 boxes of collectors coins from my granddad and need a trustworthy person to grade them for me. I am looking to sell them. Does anybody know a place I could take them to in Salt Lake City?
Tom Jensen po box 540373 North salt lake UT 84054 tajabove@yahoo.com You can send me a private message if you would like his phone number, or I can put you in contact with him. You can tell him Chris in Denver reffered you. or Bob Campbell All About Coins In Sandy i think. You can google all about coins to find his shop. I dont think Tom has a shop though. Hope this helps
No problem. They are both honest people in my opinion and will treat you fair. Bob was a former president of the American Numismatic association.
I recommend All About Coins. Bob Campbell is a past-President of ANA and teaches Counterfeit Detection every year at ANA Summer Seminar. He is a fair and honest guy (but he will leave room for him to make a profit). I would also recommend that you segregate your coins by denomination and type. Then separate out the key dates and semi-key dates. (A Red Book will help you identify the keys and semi-keys.) That way you will make it easier on the person appraising the collection so they don't have to dig through every coin to find the keys and semi-keys. This will help you get a better price for the more valuable coins.
