This has an elongated ray on the reverse that extends to her arm. I posted this a few years ago but never received a clear answer....any thoughts?
I,am trying to find out what your talking about could you direct me to the spot Because i,am not seeing It clearly Thanks
I joined in 2006 but forgot all my info and couldn't recover it...I am talking about the 3rd ray from the bottom (coming out of her forehead). No other of the same rays on different coins come close to reaching the arm.
Hmmm. Curious. It's not like that on the image on the mint's website (http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs/$1coin/?action=$1coinFlash), so I don't honesty know what to say.
Sorry, I edited my post, and that's gone if anyone is confused... I'm doing it just for the sake of doing it. You don't really see any well circulated dollar coins around. I think it's just curiosity
I just checked about a dozen pres dollars includung two washingtons and none of them had the 3rd ray touching the arm.
I read somewhere that there was a die clash error on some washingtons that made it look like there was an extra ray, but not an elongated ray.
I would suggest buying another Washington 1$ and wearing it down.....Id get this slabbed and sell it.....dont expect moon money but a decent profit.
