Dunno to be honest. But I do know who to ask that would know if it is anything. I'll have him take a look at the pics and see what he says ;)

I agree that John would be the one to ask...I just wanted to make sure we were on the same track before I said John's name ;)

Should I contact John? Or will one of you guys direct him here? I'm not sure who John is btw. Thanks!

Looks MS63, possibly 64. It's at least PL. If it looks as nice as you describe, DMPL sounds reasonable.
There are a couple of double CC VAMs, but the placement of the mint mark doesn't look right. I'd guess VAM 9.

No PCGS will not tell you if it is a new VAM. PCGS will only attribute VAMs on "their list". To get a new VAM assigned to a new variety you need to send the coin to Leroy VanAllen...Mike

Well, I didn't bother to request VAM attribution, since I checked their list, and investigated each vam they listed, and this isn't one of them. I plan to get the VAM encyclopedia, and see what it says. I'll get the grade by this friday I hope, since I just overnighted a bunch of coins today with express special grading. I'll update then.
