Ok, I know I'm not the only one who fishes through the "take a penny, leave a penny" tray at the convenient store counter while the guy is getting my change, right? (I hope not...) Anyway, I threw in 3 random Lincoln cents in exchange for this one. Kind of a cool, random find. Just thought I'd share!
I've grabbed a few while talking to a friend that works at a store. They have a big tray at every register.
Nice wheatie find. I take a quick glance, but my buddy from New York has perfected it while small talker the person at the register. He said when he's drunk he just grabs all of them and mumbles something about "loving pennies." lol
LOL! It's always funny to see their expression when I tell them I collect Lincoln cents...they always look confused and dumbfounded. I once showed a guy an Indian Head cent and he asked what country it was from...I told him the native americans used to have their own currency.
