color of canada cent and possible cracks in quarter cause

    color of cent and cracks.

    so i havnt heard anything.. ideas on how this happens. thanks again guys and girls

    The colouring on the penny is toning. It's affected by impurities in the container it may have been stored in, or from the sulfur in the air etc. etc.

    The quarter looks like it may have a retained struck through but it's really difficult to tell without seeing it in hand because of the wear on the coin.
