Now that's a find! How did you even find that? "I'll take $10 on pump two and do you have any proof Ikes in your drawer?"
THats exactly how. I've got most of the local girls at gas stations and such looking for me. I've only got on banker helping me. But she is a branch manager from a small branch. But she will order rolls from the fed. (halves and such) But it is awesome. I would love to know if this thing is worth getting graded.
Awesome you've got connections like that. I looked in my 2010 Redbook and even in PF65 it says it would go for $10. (red book is about a year out of date but it gives you an idea)
Definitely not worth getting graded. Namely because it was a circulation find and has a lot of scratches on it. But also even at a grade of PR69 it doesn't appear to be worth much.
and still has some silver in it. I found a 1987S half proof in circulation. It's worth about $.50 but I'm still keeping it since it was a neat find.
I agree. Looks like the OP happened upon this coin before anyone put their fingerprints on it. WTG! Very nice find and welcome to CT jsarver6 :smile
I do not feel it would be cost effective to have it graded at this time, however it is a nice find and worth holding on to in my opinion. I think you should mount it in a flip so it is properly stored and hang on to it for a while. gary
Gas station attendant thought you were cute and bought you a Christmas gift, and gave it to you in a manner that would make it most exciting to you. Better get her a gift in return.
