I received this one today in a standing quarter lot I purchased(third one this year so far). This is by far THE most worn 16 I've seen yet, but to it's credit, the surfaces are quite nice for the grade. It embodies the very essence of a SLICK. Anyways, I dont think there will be too much disagreement on the grade, but have at it anyways. To make things more interesting, this lot also contained an incredibly worn 1927-s, to the point where it is barely identifiable! Only the 7 is visible, and the mm is almost worn off. Here are some pics of it. I think it is interesting that this lot contained the 2 LOWEST mintage SLQ dates, in practically the LOWEST possibly identifiable grade. This is a lowball collector's dream lot right here...
I would say the "give-a-way" would be the hair style difference and slight die differences. That are still visible after much wear.
Yep simms. I was teasing. Like it was a Give a way or a contest There are a few posts on telling the difference here just use the search function. As they are good posts.
Thanks cubenewb. The one in the diagram was of one that I found about 9 months ago. It graded FR2 at ANACS. Anyways, does care to grade the 1916 and the 1927-s in the original post?

Nope actually the 16 no date is a 1 or 2. And the 27S is a 4 IMO and maybe a 3 if it wasn't a better date. Look at the PCGS Photograde and make your own guess. I still like them but they are just worn.
Those are some great illustrations Coop! I need to save those. You guys say 4-6 on the 27-s?? wow! I was thinking like 2-3 on the 27-s, and no better than a 1 on the 16.
Then we were close we both agree on a 1 for the 16 and a 3 for the 27 They like to give key dates a bump in grade too.
1916 - 2 1927 - 3 Just a gut feeling because they hate to give out 1s unless damaged. The 27 just has one partial date digit so I can't get to 4. By the way, congratulations old eagle eye.
