Very tough coin for me to capture. You're seeing about half the colors that you can see in hand. What grade do you give it?
My god that reverse is flawless! Obverse looks pretty darn good too, although looks like maybe a bit of gunk on lincoln's shirt? I'd say 66+ or 67, although I'm learning how to grade these things. Does dramatic toning become a major factor in the 65+ grades?
I agree if all went well currently it would grade 65, w/o the large spot I would go 66. It is a very nice piece!
Just went to look at the pops on this one; anyone else here not like the new PCGS price pages? They used to list RD, RB, and BN one after the other for each year; now you have to scroll through the reds then the red browns etc. Sorry, don't want to hijack the thread but I'm just sayin'.
I keep the Lincoln MS page all the time, I just went to look at and figured you didn't remember that they stop BN and RB at 35 and then I hit refresh. eeeeeek! I bet thats a coding problem ??? Thad, whats on the "O" in ONE Cent at about the 1-2 o'clock position?, is that what is called a cud?
