Banks out of Halves

I went to several banks today trying to get some halves and could not get any. At my usual branch where all the tellers know me they said people had been asking for them to give out for Christmas. I'm just hoping in the next few weeks there is a massive rush to spend/cash them in and and I can clean up. I know there is some silver out there that will come back into circulation.

I had the same problem...4 banks and only 3 single halves

 

Yes you will find this allot around the Holidays!!

 

Found $27 at the only bank I asked today.

I usually don't find anything, pretty much year-round.

 

My teller had only 3 halves today so I feel yah.

 

I had this problem earlier this week and never really thought about the holiday connection.

 

You guys think that maybe mid January when they make their way back into circulation again it will be a good time to pick up some silver?

 

Im hoping so. I emailed my bank and they are putting out an order for me so hopefully I will be able to pick some up in about 2 weeks.
