Decided to re-image this coin. It comes out looking more BN than RD which is not the case in hand. It's more red in color with nice luster. The last pic shows the color the best. What grade do you give it?

I'd go 63... is it me or is the reverse missing a lot of luster? It looks quite subdued in that respect... I think Wheaties is right on "something seeming off," unless it's just the angle of the photo (third photo shows luster not present in the second, so this may be the case). Maybe a previous cleaning? I'm more asking than telling, haha.

    64. If it has great luster, it could get a 65, but I doubt it.

Love that angled shot of the reverse. At lease 64 and I see decent luster. I am building my Lincoln set as much as I can in this RD grade color

MS-63. A few contact marks on this coin. But a still GREAT coin.

Well, I haven't graded a Lincoln in quite a while. But I'll take a stab.
I think the coin is a good 64, but if the grader was having a bad day they would knock it down to a 63 for the Reverse marks in the field below the N and T in cent. The legends are very clean and mark free, and the obverse fields are impeccable. I think the Obverse could grade a 65 if it has nice luster, but the reverse will drag it down and prevent any grade higher than 64.

I would also go with a solid 64.

Agree 64, but could go up or down depending on luster and colors in hand. Always seems to be the problem with buying toned copper on line.

64 bid price is $95, but that's for full red.

Luster impairment in fields leads me to say 58. Probably not what you wanted to hear, and I certainly could be wrong.

So, that means that the whole coin should have consistent luster and what you are saying there is luster, but just certain areas?

I'd say 63 BN. I like to see at least 20% red to be a solid RB and I'm with a 63 because the perimiter toning doesnt enhance the overall look and would be a slight deduction in my view. A perfect collector grade though, in my oppinion, leaving extra allowance to invest in higher grade key dates of the set.

Looks like it could make 64... maybe. Probably BN imo, and the high portions of the hair look like they have that lightly polished/cleaned look to them, so could be bounced if that's the case.

    A couple to compare to:
1st is a 64 I got raw off the 'bay some time ago and sent in,, was hoping for 65 RB, but got 64 BN, still happy given what i gave for it.
    2nd is a 64 RB
