Hello everyone, My wife and kids gave me a box full of pocket change for Christmas, I'm having a great time sorting through it. I pulled these 3 out of it already. The first one is a well circulated Michigan State quarter Proof, My first proof from pocket change. The other two I was wondering about. The Connecticut quarter has a partially filled in "B" in Liberty, and the dime looks like it wasn't struck quite right. I was wondering if these are actually errors and if they are, what are they called? Here's the pics... Thanks in advance for checking them out for me! I can post higher res pics if needed. Michigan Proof Conn. Filled "B" Mis-struck Dime?
Nice finds! The dime looks similar to the two dimes posted in this thread: http://www.cointalk.com/t146984/ I believe it results from a grease-filled die.
