I have an uncirculated business strike state quarter from 2007, Wyoming to be exact. On the obverse, there are two places where it looks as though a layer is missing from the coin. I have never seen this before. Getting pictures is tough, however, here is a shot of each location (under George's nose, and on his neck under the ear). What is this? Is it nothing? Is it now just a circulated quarter?
Okay...so we know what it is...what does it mean? Is the coin now junk? Is this now an "error" coin with value? Any input appreciated as I know nothing about this type of issue.
I'd say put it in a 2x2 flip, put it in a folder, forget about it, find it years later, reap the nostalgic feeling, and profit more than 25 cents
