:D Can anyone help, how registered eBay users can submit coins to PCGS and NGC directly? Is there any special treatment and/or discount? and what are the steps to follow for submitting coins for grading. Any guidance or direction will be apreciated.

    Thanks.

So far as I am aware, there is no way to do PCGS. There is , however, a way to do NGC. All I remember is that you start from a link on eBay. The NGC secretary led me through it, but I do not remember the details.

EBay is just a media used by individuals and companies to sell and buy from one another. It in itself does not entitle you to privileges outside it's own domain. The courtesy link just allows you to contact them directly without eBay's involvement. This dissolves them from any disputes or problems either of you two may experience.

It absolutely does entitle you to submit coins to NGC. Not free or reduced rates, but submit. Call them and ask. I will bet you will be surprised.

I found this page, but you still have to join NGC to submit coins.

I was slightly mistaken, They do offer a discount. See http://pages.ebay.com/buy/guides/graded-coins-buying-guide/

However, if that is the link, I do not remember what to do with it.

Interesting I never knew you could get a discount. I'll have to send some Ike's in this week as I read that the fees are going up for 2011.

Rim's Cents, excellent link and info!! If not mistaken, I read some where on the grape vine that PCGS also offers similar discounts? Stay tune.

    Thanks!!

I just got off the phone with customer service (Sarah) at NGC. She said that information on eBay is not correct. They do not offer eBay users any type of discount or special treatment. She vaguely remembers some promotion with eBay 1-2 years ago but off hand doesn't remember the details. I mentioned the link stating the discount and she said someone from NGC would contact eBay and have it removed. See post #4 for accurate information. There is no benefit from eBay any different from contacting NGC direct.

Yes I remember a few years ago I was actually going to submit to NGC through eBay.
Instead I joined the ANA which allows you to directly submit to NGC. You don't have to join NGC, just be a member of ANA.
