How Many Use Metal Detectors?

Michigan's countryside is dotted with ghosttowns that arent too difficult to find. Depressions in the ground, rows of lilac bushes, fruit trees, all help to locate these out of the way gems. I've found one that has been worked over and it's ugly. No one bothered to cover their holes. At the least they left a sign that it's been hunted and where they've been.

I have been detecting for a couple of years now.Where I go is places where lots of people went swimming holes,city parks,old schools old foundations out in the middle of the woods where old settelments were around creeks and rivers.The group of guys that go with me found lots of thing here in up state NY old spanish reals,lots of silver around swimming holes as well as jelweryone gold ring and 3 silver rings myself.
Take your time learn your machine first place coins in the ground and listen to the tones that each coin gives you,always ask permission and have fun.Brent

 

The purse recovery was absolutely stunning. But really, it was the old fairgrounds that got me a little shakey....I want to find a place like that. Even if in my dreams.
