Hi, I have no idea if this is the right place to put this thread, but i give it a shot.

My grandpa lived in Poland his whole life (1909-2003) and he saved several bills and some coins from between 1909 until the 80's, and now just for fun I'd like to know if they are worth something?
I'm not really thinking about selling them though, it would just be fun to know.

Since it isn't possible to put up more than five pictures I have uploaded them onto ImageShack. They're not all in order, but I think you'll see which one is which. But OK, here are the pictures:

I am amazed that anyone survived 93 years in Poland! Two world wars, successive occupations, the grinding poverty of communism... Your grandfather was a hardy and resourceful man. I am awed.

As for the notes, without good scans, I can do no more than look them up in a general catalog, which you can do as well. Wherever on Earth you live, your town librarian can somehow arrange for a loan of the Krause Standard Catalog of World Paper Money -- and there are products like this, other catalogs, known in other languages from other countries.

Realize that the folds will lower the value, and most of these have folds and creases. Realize also that common things are easiest to find, so your grandfather's hoard is statistically most likely to have common objects. Rarities are known, of course, and after a war, the money of the losing side is just tinder and sometimes even dangerous to be caught with, so it gets destroyed, making the others more valuable.

But the details here must await someone who really knows.

Thank you very much, I'll look for the book! :)

Yes I kinda figured that since they aren't in the best shape (most of them are in quite good condition except for the folds, not many are mint though) they're not going to be valued very high.

Do you know if there's a way to find out how much of this money still exists today? I mean like, if it's common money among collectors?
