here's a couple of mine. I got more but we would be here all day First one is a 56 proof the others are 30 something.. they have more luster than what I am showing, plus some of the scratches are on the plastic sleeve.
well now, this one from robec is special for sure.. worth repeating Charmy's extreme errors are also over the top! Are the impurities that are causing the graining really going criss cross? That is amazing.
that is one "bloody" penny, looks cool. Also, that 1959 wheat that Penny Lady posted looks kinda funny, almost as funny as Thad's "wheats" lol
You know, after I posted my coins, I realized that my "wheaties" did have a "funny" reverse - I must have had too much Christmas wine!
yeah, I was playing off a comment someone made about Thad's "wheat" pennies with the Lincoln Memorial reverse
Mine are not no "D"'s, but they are still solid. Sorry for the delay, but here are some better pictures. The NGC even has pretty close to a full beard.
Okey Dokey... Anyone want to take a stab at this? I shot these with the lighting in the same position, no adjustments, one behind the other. Comparing them against each other put them in ascending order from MS63RD to MS67RD starting with the one that is the MS66RB!!! Is it 123456 or 654321?
I guess I am dense tonight, but ascending order starting in the middle? Huh? Last time I checked, 66 is neither larger than 67 not smaller than 63.
Yeah rlm. sorry... I post those 6 reverse in relation to the first post I made to create this thread. There isn't much point to the above. Maybe if I included the obverse of each coin? The idea was/is ... who can guess which coin goes with 63RD, 64RD, 65RD, 66RD, 67RD and just to throw a monkey wrench in the works.... you have to start off with which coin goes with 66RB... no skill involved I know. lol! So if you choose Robecs favorite coin as the 66RB coin you would start with (3) then choose which numbered coin you think is from the 63RD, so forth and so on.
Okay! well that was a major FAIL.. a total thread killer.. I just got this in.. I'm taking chances now looking for VDB toners. Pretty sure this is AT.. no way I can know for sure. comments appreciated. I found it on Reeded Coins website. The above picture was shot with an axial lighting set up to capture the colors without tilting the coin. This below image is shot straight on with my typical lighting set up. This pic is full resolution, click on it twice to see all the detail.
