Here is a nicely toned 1809 bust Half. What grade would you assign it?

    Thanks

High VF, but what's the spot on the head? Despite the spot, it's a nice coin

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

I would also net grade the coin F for cleaning and damage...Mike

i don't particularly care for net grading. I'll grade it Low end VF-20 and leave it with that. Do you happen to know what made that scratch? :hammer:

You might not---but you better start to learn it....
Net grading is for Problem coins...and you need that so you don't--over pay--overgrade---and over anything else.
Even the big time dealers net grade----

It is a pretty good sized gouge. Definately a MAJOR flaw on the coin.
