The $40 whip... use it or spend it.

Hi... this is more of a poll type post...

So it's my sister's b'day today and I wanted to be clever. For xmas I gave her 5000 pennies (loose, not rolled) and I wanted to do something similar, but not something that would make her hate me forever. So I duct taped 160 quarters together (loose, not rolled......... and yes I examined all 5160 coins closely). The tape is black, not norm silver... and I thought it looks a lot like a handle to a whip. So I grabbed some black yarn and taped little lips to the end... voila... a whip.

True, it's an odd gift to give to a sister... but it's more of a "you wanted money" gag gift.

My question is this... how would YOU react if you got this as a gift... and would you use it, or spend it?

I would use it to buy a Proof Franklin....it might not pay it all but it would help alot!

she just opened it... i handed it to her (tin foiled) and it immediately looked very perverted *L*... and opened it and really thought it was a whip. She then started to unravel it and broke out laughing. SHe's going to bring it to the bank like that and try to cash it in *L*

at first glance the object looked like an actual whip, closer examination and further reading helped me establish what you where talking about.

As for the reaction, I wouldn't enjoy it...it wouldn't be memorable-though many stories of the gift would arrise at family gatherings.
