Whats it worth can't find a another coin/medal like it? Hey everyone sorry I am new to coin collecting my grand father left me the collection he had. I have searched high and low to find another coin like it if anyone has any info please let me know thank you, Curt
It is not a coin. It is a medal, probably related to WWI. Did it come with any documentation? Have you tried to Google the inscription?
From a little googling it seems like it's a Hans Frei 1918 Swiss Silver Gratitude Medal. Not sure what it's worth, though. It is WWI.
I have and have found nothing about it at all I also have a First solo flight coin/medal as well that I can't find a replica of.
i apparently didn't look hard enough i googled but could not find anything i spelled the name wrong though i spelled it hans fred thank you for the info.
The ID above is dead-on, but I can't find a good source to give you a value. However, the size should be 39mm, the weight should be about one ounce, and it is struck in coin silver (90%). (Silver Weight 25.5 grams) Also, there was a bronze issue struck of this medal. Please post photos of the solo flight piece so we can weigh in. Welcome to CoinTalk!!!
