1891 Seated Quarter, Crossed from a ANACS holder

    Here she is, Let's play a little game. What do you think ANACS had her as? I will tell you she was in the newest generation holder.

    65 would be my guess.

    Personally I feel the coin is over-graded at 64 - it has no eye appeal at all and there is little if any luster visible, at least in the pics. I'd say it should grade 63 at best, and that's only because I can't tell if there is any light wear from the pics so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt.

    I think this may have been an instance where ANACS under graded the coin. My guess was sort on tongue in cheek. I know they have been known typically for over grading coins.

    Well in hand the toning is lovely, and there is lots of luster. ANACS actually graded it as a 64 and it crossed at the same level.
