40% coins

    Any value for 40% Kennedys and eisenhower and such coins??? went to the bank today teller started to cherry pick,pulled out two 40 and one 1964 silver kennedy would not give them to me, was interested of course in the 1964 but didnt think the 40"s were worth that much??

    Some bank tellers know some don't. Silver Halves are one of the best kept secrets. Most don't know or care. Bank tellers don't make that much and normally can't afford to pick things out. Melt values are not a good indicator of what you would get. Unless you have a large quantity it's hard to get good pricing. I know, I've called around trying to sell some of the ones I have. Took me a while to find a place paying top dollar.

    I can sell rolls of 40%'ers for 80 all day long at todays spot price.

    40% are bringing $2.50 90% are 17.5X face

    Kent, what part of the country are you in? Here the shops are paying $3.80 for 40% and 19.7x face for 90% give or take depending on the shop and day. Last weekend one was pay $7.95 per $1 on the 40%'ers.
