I made this for my Dad years ago for a gift.
I don't recall if it was Christmas or B'day, or what...
I know it's too late for this year, but I just thought of it.

Dad passed in 08, so it's part of my collection now.
    Still in the display though.

I mounted the coin with 2 sided tape on the box bottom.
Then I mounted the sleeve with the same tape, below it.
(Box top and plastic insert are still in outer sleeve.)
The shadow box is from Wally-world... but they don't carry them anymore.

Seems like this could be done for many veterans considering the coins we have available to choose from..
    WWII
    Korea
    Vietnam
    POW
    Marines

    Just to name a few.

    Good luck
    Merry Christmas!

That is a very nice presentation and a very good idea for those who have fought for our country.

    Thank you...

I have wanted to do some more, but since Wally-world no longer carries the shadow box frames anymore, I have let it slide.
(I am not the 'search the mall' type of guy)
The box was well under 10 bux... but that was several years ago.

Well there are always local crafts stores, such as Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

That would work well for any Military Challenge coin too!
