Roll-searchers, post your results!

Well, I was not getting any Silver so I switched over to cents for awhile before I gave up. Well, that's when I found that 1988 d reverse 89 (RDV-006) of only 10 known so far. I even sent it to CONECA and ANACS. Today I am one of the 4 people know to have an authenticated one. The thing about searching for something is that you always find it in the last place you looked.

I hope that everyone continues to look, because you'll never find anything if you quit.

I just realized that my dump bank is also the bank that The Salvation Army takes their donation change. The lady there says that the bags of halves (what I'm looking for) is mostly my stuff and I agree but should I be maybe asking for the bags of dimes or quarters?

I'm thinking not since it's mostly change from transactions and not necessarily change that people bring in from their old stashes. What do y'all think??

$100 bucks in Dimes..... Bummer. I set the 2010's off to the side in the off chance there's a DD or something undiscovered. Hold them for a year and if nothing else cash them in with cursing.

Went through $100 Quarters, nada. Did get some for the clad set I am putting together, but zilch Silver or errors.

$7 Cents, nothing so far.

 

BOA who has been my main supplier so far has said no more halves for me. So I'm Jonesing waiting for my other banks to get my boxes in. Speaking of which, the three banks I've gotten boxes from are all the same supplier, String and Something. I'd like to try another supplier of boxed halves so is there an easy way of determining this other than asking and getting looked at like you're an alien??

 

String and Sons is not a supplier, they're merely a manufacturer of wrappers and boxes. Where you located lburgguy?

In other news, 2 boxes of halves yesterday, nothing. Did find another 1972 type-2 Ike in a TD bank machine. Got it for free... infinite profit!

Two type-2's in two weeks, awesome.

I dunno, I consider my machine finds to be part of my roll searching finds, because if I hadn't been searching, (and therefore needed to dump) I wouldn't have found them.

 

What do you mean? Okay, got it but that doesn't fit with any trucks I've seen nor do I show up as being served by them on their website search. I guess I'm back to my question and forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere but how can I ensure that I am getting halves from different vaults as now it seems my three (now two) banks get them from the same supplier.

Also, is there a preferred supplier? Like let's say I see Brinks trucks servicing a bank, is that a good or bad sign? I'm just trying to figure out how to find more silver as I am totally hooked.

 

Garda is probably the change supplier for your supply banks.

 

Heh, I'll be passing through your area over the holidays. Are you dumping at any banks along 29 north or south of town, so I'll know to avoid them?

 

Worth noting I'll be around Mendham NJ tomorrow hitting up various banks and whatnot, so if anybody dumps in the greater area (Particularly around Chester) let me know.

Spending Christmas morning with the girlfriends family for the first time ever. Should be interesting. I always feel awkward around them, ha.
