Is this considered radar SN# 02995992 I say no but some say yes I was just curious. I've seriously started collecting radar and repeater notes and I'm trying to get a set $1,$2,$5,$10,$20,$50 and $100 of each but the premium on them seem to be pretty high. Do any of you collect them if so did you pay or get them in change or straps? I made a mistake In the OP title.
a "radar" note reads the same forward and backward, so no, your does not. Some will count a 7 digit radar when it starts with a zero, but yours doesn't even do that. It would if the serial was 02995992
Umm...except for the zero in the beginning this is a palindrome...curious that the headline says 02995299 but the message reads 02995992...which one is it?
The actially Sn# is 01237321 and it's a 1957B dollar bill I want to buy it but he wants a hundred bucks for it. IT's PGS graded 58. sorry about the confusion in the title.
It's not a radar, Matt. It's another one of those marketing tactics like a "scrambled ladder" or "partial repeater". It means nothing. If you buy it as a radar, you'll be stuck with it unless you find someone naive enough to buy it.
The numbers will not bring much if any premium. I collect fancy numbers so you can say I have some experience at value. If the 7 had been a 4 it would have been a different story. I feel $100 would have still been too much though even if it was a 4. Silver Certificates are common in high grade and most dealers don't want them because they don't move. There were a lot of them printed so fancy numbers are not that unusual. If you are happy, that's all that matters! Best Regards ~ Darryl
