Can anyone identify this? Is it a coin?

    I'm trying to help my father-in-law figure out what this is. He doesn't even know where he got it from. Any help appreciated.

    Okay< can anyone tell me what the symbols mean? Is it referenced as a "Widow's Mite?"

    It is a modern take on the "Widow's Mite" but looks nothing like a real one save it has an anchor. They are made and sold in bulk for the purpose of passing out at Sunday School, etc. Below are two of the real thing:
