Another '64 nickel

    Yeah, the first one was PMD and yeah, all the coins I have are mostly circulated and yeah...I did order the Cherry Picker's Guide. I haven't received the book yet. I have a 1964 nickel that looks like it has doubling on the back on the building along side the left. Tell me what you think. I know the condition of the coin is not good, but it is circulated and I do not expect it to be worth much. :D

    When you get your copy of CPG be sure to read Appendix A - 'Doubled Dies vs. Other Forms of Doubling'.

    so...I just have to wait prolly another week then and suck on my thumb in the meantime right? No one is going to help me out here? Wow...And I took the offer for asking questions literally...

    Looks like strike doubling to me. Appendix A in CPG gives a good explanation of how to differentiate strike doubling from true doubling.

    Thanks Hobo. Sorry for blowing my lid. Its so hard to do this kind of stuff where I live. I apologize for my inappropriate tone of typed words. :)

    Yeah, that and a husband that thinks this is all just a waste of time. I wish he could understand...maybe one day he will. :)

    I can think of any number of hobbies and pastimes that are a much bigger waste of time - and money - than collecting coins.
