How do you store your coins?

I was just curious how everyone stores their coins? I know some people have like hidden safes, all kinds of elaborate stuff, and some people just put them in a box on the shelf.

The "important" coins or investment coins are all in the safety deposit box. And i use 3 different banks with about evual amounts at each that way if anything ever happened to one bank i'd would be able to access the other two. And for the coins i look at often or i recently purchased i keep in the gun safe thats bolted to the basement floor and wall!

A box in the corner, had a bunch of rolls of pennies and nickels in a three drawer shelf, put the rolls on the top, all three drawers collapsed.

My setup, US and Foreign types in 2x2's in binder pages in a zippered binder and a Dansco 7000. Sets, rolls, encapsulated and folders in a small plastic tote with activated carbon and silica paks. US, OPA, and Foreign "stock" (duplicates) in a shoulder bag that has several tacklebox-type trays (really handy for sorting, from WalMart in the crafts section, if you need). Supplies (empty tubes and 2x2's) reside in an archival photo box. All of it is currently stored under the piano bench in my living room. Nothing super valuable apart from its sentimentality, so I don't worry about overdoing the safety. I'm one who'd rather have my coins where I can pull them out when I want to.

My foreign coins are mostly in 2x2s and then in plastic pages in albums, which are on a shelf in my closet. Most of my U.S. coins I have in Whitman folders which are also on a shelf in my closet. The rest of the U.S. coins are in the same arrangement as the foreigns, plus I have a bag of random wheat pennies in a safe, not because they're valuable but just that there's nowhere else good to put them. I had the same problem as Eric above mentioned though in that my shelves collapsed awhile back. I rebuilt them stronger and took the baseball cards off and they've been holding up so far. I don't have anything extremely valuable and in a burglary I'd be more worried about my electronics.

Mine are stored loose in a pirate's chest buried on a Caribbean island. Or maybe thats a movie, I don't know. I might just keep them in a large safe at home.
