Hi I am a coin collector that checks goverment auction sites form time to time for good/great/awsome deals. I was checking gsaauctions.gov today at work and there are several really great auctions from the federal auctions that got my attetion but I don't have the liquid capital to take advantage of them right now, so I wanted to bring these to the attention of some of the dealers/high rollers on here that might benefit from them. Check out gsaauctions.gov and do a search for coins and you will find about 12 auctions that have a large quantity of silver half and dollar rolls and some gold bullion lots that I guess the Federal Marshalls took form a "bad guy". Hope someone can capitalize on these lots and if so maybee shoot a BU half my way as thanks. Some intersting lots in there that boggle the mind or at lest mine. Take care and hope someone takes advantage of the deals that I cant right now.,
how interesting. waaaaaay outa my league so I figure go to the bottom of the list. really curious as to what a bank roll of 20 Franklins will bring in quantity. Melt is probably worth more than the coin. yes/no? $200 a roll x 80 - 16k someone will probably pay that huh? interesting... I guess you don't bid anymore than melt and cross your fingers? what do they do about all the high quality counterfeits out there? I mean how is someone supposed to bid on something like this? ONE LOT TO CONSIST OF 78 ROLLS OF 20 EACH 1959-D FRANKLIN BU HALF DOLLARS, 80 MORGAN DOLLARS AND 20 PEACE DOLLARS, AVG CIRC, MIXED DATES, 285 PEACE AND MORGAN DOLLARS, MIXED DATES, AVG CIRC, 1894-1895-O MORGAN DOLLARS***** and why for heavens sake is this GSA sale in Atlanta GA?
GSA sales take place all over the country. You might be surprised at some of the deals some people get. My cousin's boyfriend bought a Porsche 911 for under 30K and it had less than 1000 miles on it. Amazingly there was only two other bidders. That was in LA a while back. Guy
