Is this a small dated 1960 D mint penny?

I have this coin but am unable to tell if it is a small date or a large date. I realize the condition is not great but I'd say its pretty good for circulated.

Yep. The way I tell, is look at the comparison pics Winged Liberty put up. Note the position of the "1" next to the "9" See how it is even at the tops in the small date and different at the tops with the large date ? That's the easiest way for me to see it, although some use the difference in the 6 to pick it up.

Definatley. To quickly spot these, simply look at the 6. There's a radical difference between them on the small and large dates.

One of the best ways to see the difference is to look at the 1960-D large over small date variety.

Thanks. All these pictures that I post are scanned from my cheap little LexMark printer. I try to photoshop to make the coins look as they do in my hand but only come so so close :D

And btw, did anyone notice the filled in S in States and the difference in the E in E Pluribus Unum on the reverse? Hmm...I was told the s was a die break and was common but the E? Grease?
