You can go back in the first 24 hours and edit out the stuff from your post you don't need in there. Just click edit post, highlight and delete the unnecessary bits.

More importantly... what is your question about the note???

If you are curious about the 'mystery ghost' terms just look at his other items, he has a few. Apparently he has bought quite a few straps of star notes and has them listed for various districts. The Series 2006 NY notes he calls 'mystery ghost' are described as such in his item descriptions:

The 'mystery ghost' terms in the item title are just to sell the note on it's potential rarity.

Thanks I went in and deleted most of it I still don't know what I did wrong when I posted it.
My question is why is he calling this a Ghost Note? I couldn't find it on the list of star serial numbers either.

"Ghost Notes" shouldn't exist according to published numbers... this isn't in a listed run of * notes, therefore, it's a ghost note.

Basically, it's a catchy term used to generate interest. Marketing.

See my above explanation, which also quotes the sellers item description.

Thanks I don't much about Paper except stars, barr, web that kind of stuff thats pretty common. I just keep what's interesting to me not really a collector although I do want to get some examples of the older money nothing expensive just sort of a type set, but don't enough to bid on any. It's just to show my nephew the different kind of US Paper Money.

Careful, we could easily veer into metaphysics at this point.

If a man finds an MS-70 coin in the woods, and there's no TPG around, does he make a sound?

Earlier in 2010, CT member Numbers alerted us to these "misreported star notes that shouldn't exist, according to the BEP monthly reports."

Numbers tracks such data, let him know in his thread on these notes if you have any Series 2006 New York star notes with serials between B06400001* and B09600000* or even if you spot any others listed for sale anywhere.

[I will link this thread in his earlier thread as well.]

This is a breakdown of the series 2006 Star notes printed for the New York (B) District . The note Harvey is selling is NOT listed here....thus the name "Mystery Ghost Star". They sold for alot more when they were first discovered, and slowly the price has declined.
