With all the holiday mail, that thing could be stuck in some sorting machine or still floating through the system.

Well, I hope it does turn out to be some sort of mishap. It doesn't sound like your typical fraud situation, other than the him not replying to you stuff. I hope he'll see this thread and let us know his side of the story.

it appears that may have been a mistake regarding my issue with Sampson. he has taken the necessary steps to rectify the issue. I will update when I recieve my halves, but i will say i have faith in him coming through.

After visiting this link and reading the comments. I would like to mention that the "Orwellian Society" feared by the poster is not far from fact. I recently won 2 weekly prizes in an NFl handicapping contest here in Las Vegas. I knew I needed to file a W-9 for the amount that exceeded $5,000, but the much smaller win was Less than $500 and they required paperwork on that one too !! Go figure ? This is really, really unfair in so far that the money used for my entry fees was previously taxed. Some things, like handicapping NFL, are not "boons". They require time, effort and study generally to show success. It's a sda day when hard work is discouraged. No wonder the economy is in the toilet ?

That is good to hear. Hopefully everything gets resolved. It is never fun to be on the other side of wrong doing, in addition to you possibly getting the situation handled, I hope that those who are careless about buying online, may have learned something.

Worst thing is that it appears to be an accident. Said halves were accidentally mailed to a CT Member who opted to keep them rather than return the unpaid merchandise.

    Absolutely abhorrent behavior.

Thank you Merc Crazy for explaining the situtation. I apologize for the lack of communication but as I stated my computer was hacked by a lowlife in the UK and he stole our credit card and debit card info and went on a shopping spree. We have been trying to get this figured out for months, I am sorry your e-mails were not responded to. It was all just miscommunication. Mail does go missing and now because of a dishonest person out there I have a maid fraud complaint filed aganist me! I don't even know what that is, my wife thinks I will be getting arrested for a package's that I sent and didn't arrive. Not cool

I don't know where you ( Sampson ) are at this point ( working with your CC companies ) to clear yourself of any wrong doing . While I don't have 1st hand experience with that, I understand most of them are cooperative once they recognize the fact of outside fraud. I see that you are in upstate N.Y. . I would think that by now you have an attorney handling these matters as they present themselves. If not, and you are in need of representation, my neighbor is an ADA for the State of New York . I can only imagine how devastating situations as this are for victims . I think I speak for all the CT membership when I say, we hope you get all this resolved and your good name and credit restored. Here is a link to a story I just read today.http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-bu...-a-debit-card-is-dangerous?mod=bb-creditcards

To the member of cointalk who pocketed the halves that I meant to send to Merc Crazy I hope you feel good about yourself for not letting me know that I sent you coins that aren't your's. To make things right with Merc Crazy yesterday I had to take the half dollars that were in my 5 year olds coin collection and send them to him. So not only am I out all the money for shipping fee's but now my 5 year old is out a good chunk of his coin collection.

Thank you for your concern credit card companies suck, they had the balls to say to my wife that "I am sure your husband is making the purchases in the UK"... I don't even own a passport.. The guy who hacked our computer got us for over $30,000.00 The only reason I found out about is I tried to order my son an XBOX 360 from Best Buy for Christmas and all our cards were denied. We are getting closure on the credit card theft as we speak and just yeaterday got a majority of our money back.. Now I am a little stressed about the mail fraud complaint filed aganist me for a missing package in the mail!

Do you know for a fact that complaint was even filed? First, contact the individual and ask, you maybe worrying for nothing.

IMHO if what you have stated within this forum is true, you should still have nothing to worry about especially if you have made good on the transaction.
