Take a look at this one. I think I will buy 5 sets. http://cgi.ebay.com/US-TYPE-COIN-SE...98?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27b74b3bde
I wouldn't buy coins from them. Expect to get high mintage low grade damaged junk...I'm not saying it's a bad idea, I'm simply saying you won't get rare or valuable coins. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
But there is silver in those coins!!! But seriously, those $15 of coins (mostly silver) might not be worth $21,000,000, but at least you get free shipping.
They were discussing this on the PCGS boards. Apparently he does something like this everytime there are no listing fee specials on Ebay. He apparently has his own sense of humor.
I'd like to see someone bid it and then walk away... I wonder how they'd cover the 5% final sale fee while they tried to run down a phantom bidder.
The guy is a marketing genius. People are allowed to make an offer, so he does makes some sales. With free listings, why not ? and people at least look at the item. IMHO gary
Recently there was another thread about the very same topic. http://www.cointalk.com/t143173/ I'd still be interested in hearing from Kent on the matter, as he has dealt with him before. It would be interesting to know if he is marketing this, and cashing out well, or if he is loosing money and is very hopeful. Although, if he was losing money, he'd stop, wouldn't he!? Ah, inside the mind of an eBay seller...
