    I was thinking of sending out two of my abraham lincoln commems and one or two of the "s" proof lincoln cent sets?

    I wouldn't do it. 70 grades would bring more money at re-sale but with those pieces, it's not a huge difference. I'd leave them in the OGP if they were mine.

    If you can't answer this, then it's all the more reason why you shouldn't submit them. The modern commems have been, and probably always will be, dependent upon timing where their grade vs. price is concerned. When they are first introduced, there is a "feeding frenzy" for those collectors who want the 70's for their Registry Sets or just because. This drives the price to an artificial high, but once the feeding is over, the price will drop and rarely ever does it rise again.

    Modern commems in 70's aren't scarce by any means. Take a look at the pop reports from NGC & PCGS, but if you still want one of the 70's "just because", you will probably find it cheaper from one of the dealers who submits the commems in bulk for grading.
