I found out today from my father, who was doing some research into our family tree, that one of my direct descendants, Thomas Braman, minted colonial town pieces in Alton, New Hampshire. I can't find much information other than what is on this site: http://www3.hants.gov.uk/museum/curtis-museum/alton-history/alton-tokens.htm . So, I guess my question is, has anybody heard of any of these tokens? And, if so, does anyone know where I might be able to purchase one? I was thinking of getting it as a Christmas gift for dad.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: Title should read Alton, Hampshire -- as in Hampshire, England. Thanks to blsmothermon for pointing that out

I haven't seen thesebefore, but it might be helpful to note, these are not form New Hampshire. They are from Hampshire, England.

Really? No one? Well, I guess they are a little obscure, but I thought for sure someone would know something.
